HONG KONG: BETWEEN EAST AND WEST (2012-2016)
Hong Kong has a complexity that defies definitions. It is an incredible mix of its western colonial heritage and its eastern Chinese influence - with a strong personality and big ambitions.
This project is based on numerous quick trips to Hong Kong from 2012 to 2016 and these images represent my view of this magic place where I am always happy to return.
My photography never focuses on famous landmarks. I rather prefer to document and investigate the relationship between the people and the city and to show my readers what I see and what I feel while I browse the streets with no destination at all.
The subject of my photography is what catches my eye and my interest. In this series I decided to use an image of the Hong Kong skyline during the light games though, as it is something special for me that in a way helps defining Hong Kong.
