Moroccan shadows

I traveled through Morocco in 2009 and again in 2017. What drew me back, and what continues to hold my attention, is the intensity of color and the weight of shadow, often more present than the subjects themselves. Light cuts sharply through streets, compressing space and leaving parts of the frame unresolved. Figures appear briefly, then recede. Color is intense.

Like my other projects, this work remains open. It is incomplete by choice. A series shaped by return, interruption, and the certainty that there is more to see.
